Fleet missions
Colonization, attack, transport, mining, espionage⦠here are all the missions a fleet can carry out.
Fleet missions
When you send a fleet somewhere, you assign it an action. Depending on the chosen action, the fleet can carry cargo (resources, populations, equipment) or simply move. Missions can be chained in a queue to automate complex routes.
Attack
Launches an orbital assault against an enemy planet. If you win the space combat, your ships orbit above the enemy planet.
Transport
Transports resources, populations and/or equipment from one planet to another. Requires a ship with cargo space.
Resources, populations, equipment.
Land
Lands the fleet on one of your planets.
Colonize
Colonizes an uninhabited planet. The fleet brings starting resources and establishes a colony. The planet becomes yours.
Resources required for colonization.
Intercept
Intercepts an enemy fleet moving through the galaxy. Combat takes place in space, far from any planet.
Selected target enemy fleet.
Mine
Mines an asteroid to extract resources. Requires a mining module installed on at least one ship in the fleet.
Requires a mining module.
Recycle
Recovers resources in a ruins field created after a space combat. Requires a recycling module.
Requires a recycling module.
Spy
Sends the fleet to quietly observe an enemy planet. A successful espionage reveals more or less information depending on the technology level.
Espionage technology required.
Station deposit/withdrawal
Deposits or withdraws resources from an allied space station. Allows protecting resources on a station or funding its development.
Resources to deposit or withdraw.
Hover
The fleet stays at its current position in space and does nothing. Useful as a relay point or while waiting for orders.
No payload.
Mission queue
You can chain multiple missions in succession when sending a fleet. For example: Mining β Transport to my planet β Stay in place. The fleet executes each step in order, allowing you to automate routines without intervention.
