Attack protection
Rules limit attacks against much weaker players and how often attacks can happen, to prevent harassment.
Attack protection and hostile actions
The game enforces several rules to prevent a dominant player from endlessly harassing much weaker players. These rules apply to all hostile actions: space attacks, ground attacks and espionage.
Weak player protection
A player cannot attack a player who has less than 1/5 of their total points. In other words, if your points are more than 5Γ greater than your target's, that target is under protection and you cannot attack them.
Exception: retaliation
If the protected player has themselves attacked or spied on you in the last 48h h, their protection is lifted and you can retaliate during this same 48h window.
Protection symmetry
You are yourself protected if a player 5Γ stronger than you wishes to attack you. But if you attack or spy on them first, you lose this protection for 48h .
Non-aggression pacts
An active pact between two players prohibits any hostile action between them, regardless of the point difference. Attempting to attack an ally under a pact will be systematically blocked.
Attack frequency limits
In addition to point-based protection, frequency limits apply to prevent intense harassment:
Space attack β hourly limit
1Γ/h
per target planet
Space attack β daily limit
3Γ/24h
per target planet
Ground attack β daily limit
1Γ/24h
per target planet
Global limit per enemy player
3Γ/24h
all attack types combined
Vacation mode
A player in vacation mode cannot receive any hostile action. This protection is total but subject to strict conditions (minimum duration, cooldown). See the π΄ Vacation mode
